We have been awarded the Category A1 company certificate . This certificate is issued by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management and confirms that we, as a company, demonstrably meet the requirements set out in the relevant legislation. It is valid until 12 March 2029.
What the certificate specifically regulates
The certificate entitles Merz RailServices GmbH, without prejudice to the requirements of commercial law, to carry out:
- Installation
- Repair
- Maintenance
- Servicing
- Decommissioning
to the institutions specified in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/2215. These include, among others:
- stationary refrigeration systems,
- stationary air conditioning systems and heat pumps,
- stationary organic Rankine cycles,
- refrigeration systems in refrigerated trucks and trailers, and
- refrigeration systems in light refrigerated vehicles, intermodal containers and railway wagons.
The certification is related to Regulation (EU) 2024/573 and national regulations on the handling of fluorinated greenhouse gases and their alternatives.
This clearly defines the legal framework under which we are permitted to carry out this work and the evidence we as a company must provide to this end.
